The Welsh Assembly

Since 5th May 2011, the Welsh Assembly government can use its new powers. The powers are voted by the people of the welsh, that have 63.5% of people voted yes in the referendum. The powers have 20 areas of responsibility given to the National Assembly for Wales. Such as Culture, Environment, Food and so on. The day is a very important historic event for Walsh. Because, before the now- making power, Walsh makes each policy need The UK government allowed, and it need long time to do. But now, The Assembly can make laws on subjects in all of the 20 areas, without the UK Parliament’s agreement, “and this can reduce the bureaucracy and the length of time it currently takes to make and confirm byelaws- partly due to the requirement for confirmation by the Welsh Minister.” Jones ( 2012) said.
